Modified anti-theft alarm configuration
This bulletin describes spare parts programming in TWICE in order to prevent faults in the anti-theft alarm system.

Saab 9-5 M04- with anti-theft alarm
Background
The glass breakage sensor that was previously part of the anti-theft alarm system has been eliminated from model year 04. During the course of M04 (from VIN 43013120), the alarm siren has been replaced by the standard car horn.
During spare parts programming or adjustment of TWICE, it is important to select the correct parameters for the anti-theft alarm's configuration in order to prevent faults in the anti-theft alarm system.
Symptom description
If the incorrect parameters are selected, the message "ALARM FAILURE, CONTACT WORKSHOP" in SID.
The following DTCs could occur in TWICE: B1785, B1790, B1795 or B1890.
Note
The fault symptom first arises when the anti-theft alarm has been armed by locking with the remote control.
Procedure
The selections shown for anti-theft protection should be selected in Tech2 during spare parts programming of TWICE.
