Lock-up. Mechanical Fault.





Fault symptoms

CHECK GEARBOX warning lamp is on.

TCM in Limp-Home mode.

Conditions
Engine speed above 4000 rpm.

No gear changes made

Transmission in lock-up mode

Accelerator position <30%

Fault criteria
TCM registers rapid changes in output shaft speed when the transmission is in lock-up mode or registers that the input speed is more than 100 rpm lower than the engine speed.
