P1133
O2S Circuit. Low Voltage. Sensor 1.
Fault symptoms
^ CHECK ENGINE.
^ Misfiring can occur before trouble code is generated.
On-Board Diagnostics
Type of diagnosis:
^ Continuous. Terminated when fault criteria fulfilled. Restarts next driving cycle.
Enable criteria:
^ Engine running. Closed loop active longer than 4 s. Preheating current sensor 1 more than 300 mA. O2S2 has higher voltage than 0.7 V for longer than 30 s.
Fault criteria:
^ O2S1 voltage is between 0.05 and 0.3 V for longer than 30 s.
Dependents:
^ P0131, P0132, P0134.
System reaction to a fault :
^ Closed loop is blocked.
OK report:
^ Enable criteria fulfilled and 60s has expired without a fault report.
Fault handling: (For more information, Fault Handling III, Other Emission-Related Components and Function)
^ Type III.
Diagnostic help
Fault diagnosis concerns an electrical fault in connecting leads or in the sensor.
Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:
^ Diagnostic status for the diagnosis.
^ Oxygen Sensor Value, unit V.
For more information refer to description of readings, Menu Read Values
NOTE: Oxygen sensor receives reference oxygen from the surrounding air via the connecting cables. For this reason, electrical contact spray or grease must not be used on the oxygen sensor connector.
Checking the wiring
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short circuits. Observe the multimeter, diagnostic tool or test lamp during the check.
