Fault symptoms

CHECK GEARBOX warning lamp is on.

TCM in Limp-Home mode.

Conditions
Fluid temperature exceeds 60°C

Selector lever in position L, 3, 4 or D

Fault criteria:
The control unit continuously monitors the gear changing and stores DTC P0780 if gear change is not carried out correctly.

Diagnostic help
The fault indicates mechanical malfunction and is very unlikely to have been caused by a control system fault.
