^ Check by feeling the upper radiator hose close to the thermostat housing, making sure that it warms up quickly when the coolant temperature reaches 89 °C and the thermostat opens.

^ The coolant temperature should after this remain relatively constant, approximately 85-95 °C for a minute or so.
