CD Player Overheated

Fault symptoms
The following information is shown on SID:
^ B2772: CD ERROR BO (CD player in main unit)
^ B2772: CDC ERROR BO (CD changer).

The CD player in the main unit or CD changer does not work.
The CD player in the main unit or CD changer does not work when it becomes warm.

Conditions
B2790
^ The CD player/CD changer stops working if the temperature in the CD player exceeds 76° C.
^ The CD player/CD changer starts to work again when the temperature falls below 69° C.

Diagnostic help
The CD player/CD changer has overheating protection.
