Heat Exchanger Solenoid. Short to B+

Heat Exchanger Solenoid. Open Circuit / Short to Ground







Fault symptoms
Perceived temperature in cabin too high or too low compared to the set temperature.

Conditions
The following conditions apply:
- Ignition ON
- Short circuit to B+ is indicated when the output for the heat exchanger solenoid is not activated and the voltage on pin 14 is B+.
- Short circuit to ground is indicated when the output for the heat exchanger solenoid is activated and the voltage on pin 14 is lower than 1V.
- Measured every 50 ms.
- The diagnostic trouble code is deleted after the ignition has been switched on 20 times if the malfunction conditions have not been fulfilled.
- When the diagnostic trouble code is generated the output is switched off.
