B0043 Driver frontal deployment circuit (stage 2), voltage out of range.

B0044 Driver frontal deployment circuit (stage 2), open circuit.







Fault symptom
Airbag warning lamp on.

Conditions
B0042 The resistance measured by the control module is less than 1.5 ± 0.2 ohms for 2 s.
B0044 The resistance measured by the control module is greater than 4.5 ± 0.2 ohms for 2 s.
B0043 The voltage on pin 30 of the control module is greater than 4.1 �0.15 V or less than 1.0 ± 0.15 V for 2 s.

System reaction to a fault
Despite there being a fault in the detonation circuit, the control module will still attempt to trigger the airbag in case of an accident.

Diagnostic help
The resistance of the detonation circuit can be read with the diagnostic tool.
