B0030 Passenger side deployment, short to ground/voltage out of range.










Fault symptom
Airbag warning lamp on.

Conditions
Ignition on

Fault criteria
B0028 The resistance measured by the control module falls below 1.5 ± 0.2 ohms for 2 s
B0029 The resistance measured by the control module exceeds 4.5 ± 0.2 ohms for 2 s
B0030 Voltage on pin 33 in the control module exceeds 4.1 ± *0.15 V or falls below 1.0 ± 0.15 V for 2 s.

System reaction to a fault
Even if there is a fault in the ignition circuit, the control module will try to trigger the airbag in the event of a collision.

Diagnostic help
The diagnostic tool can be used to read the amount of resistance in the ignition circuit.
