Air Bypass Valve: Service and Repair

Wastegate valve (605)

To remove






1. Remove the upper engine cover.






2. Remove the connector from the control valve.
3. Press down the catch carefully with a screwdriver and remove the control valve from its mounting.
4. Detach the hoses from the control valve.

To fit






1. Connect the hoses to the control valve.
a. To inlet pipe
b. To bypass valve
c. To temp/pressure on turbocharger delivery pipe
2. Fit the control valve to the mounting, make sure the hoses are not pinched together and adjust them as necessary.
3. Plug in the connector.






4. Replace the upper engine cover (1).
