Fault symptom
Check Engine
Jerky movements.
Message in SID regarding TCM and TCS/ESP.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
Continuous

Enable criteria:
Test 1
- Start engine revving.
- Crankshaft signal detected.

Test 2
- Fault criterion for test 1 is not fulfilled.
- Engine stated at least 3 s ago.
- Vehicle speed over 30 km/h
- Brake pedal NOT depressed.

Fault criteria:
Test 1
- No crankshaft signal more than 4 times in 10 ms for a 3 s period.

Test 2
- No crankshaft signal more than 3 times in 10 ms for a 3 s period.

Dependent:
None

System reaction to a fault:
None

OK report:
Fault criteria for tests 1 and 2 are not fulfilled for 5 s.

Fault handling:
Type III
