Injector 1 Circuit, Open/Short







Fault symptom
Check Engine (OBD II, EOBD)
Engine misfires or does not start.

On-board diagnosis

Type of diagnosis:
Continuous

Enable criteria:
Battery voltage must be between 11 - 16 V.
Main relay voltage exceeds 6 V.
Starter motor cranking or engine running.

Fault criteria:
When voltage on output is below 5.5 V when inactive or exceeds 5.5 V when active.

Dependent:
None

System reaction to a fault:
Closed loop is blocked.
Fuel adaption is blocked.

OK report:
Fault criteria NOT fulfilled for 2 s.

Fault handling:
Type III

Checking the wiring harness
Move the wiring harness at several spots and in several directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short-circuits. Check switches, connectors and crimp connections for oxidation, retracted pins and pin clamping force.
