Emergency Opening Of Tailgate







Cars affected

Saab 9-5 5D M03 from and including Vehicle Identification Number 33037000.

Background

The locking cylinder in the tailgate has been removed. In order to open the tailgate if the central locking system is not functioning, a wire for emergency opening has been introduced.

Procedure

To open the tailgate if the central locking system is not functioning, proceed as follows:
1. Open the back door and fold down the back rest cushion.
2. Open the hatch for bulb replacement in the tailgate trim on the left-hand side.
3. Pull the wire for emergency opening in order to release the lock.







4. Open the tailgate from the outside.
