DDM, PDM, RLDM, RRDM and BCM - fault symptom

1. RLDM - Car's windows go down by themselves

Cars affected:
Saab 9-3 (9440) 4D up to VIN 51017119 with pinch protection
Saab 9-3 (9440) CV up to VIN 56004269 with pinch protection

Background:

When exiting the car, it is easy to accidentally activate the window lift buttons. In cars with pinch protection, the windows can be opened/closed with the key removed if a door is open.

Procedure:

Carry out "Add" RLDM with Tech2 version 115.000 or later.

Note:
New parameters introduced as of VIN 51017120 (4D) and 56004270 (CV). In these cars (with pinch protection), the windows cannot be opened/closed with the key removed if a door is open. The function has been eliminated.

2. BCM - Automatic locking after 3 minutes - eliminated as of M04

Cars affected:
Saab 9-3 (9440)

Procedure:

N/A

Note:
For cars built in M03, this function is eliminated upon update of BCM software.

3. Rattling from switches in the doors

Cars affected:
Saab 9-3 (9440)

Procedure:

Replace the switch in question.





Note:
New switches introduced during the course of M05 as shown.

4. Door mirrors not maneuverable

Cars affected:
Saab 9-3 (9440)

Background:

A material fault in the window lift switch can cause the door mirrors to not be maneuverable.

Procedure:

Replace the faulty switch.

Note:
New switches introduced as of VIN 51049353.
