Front Right Engine Mounting

Front right engine mounting, B235R (Viggen)
To remove





1. Place lifting beam 83 94 850 above the engine and put the hook in the front lifting eye. Take up the weight of the engine.





2. Raise the car and remove the bottom engine cover. Remove the resonator and the air shield behind it.
3. Loosen the clip securing the wheel arch liner to the structural member.





4. Undo the bolts holding the mounting pad to the body. Lower the car.
5. Lower the engine slightly with the lifting beam and raise the car.
6. Undo the center bolt securing the engine mounting pad to the bracket (8 mm socket) and remove the mounting pad.


To fit





1. Fit the mounting pad to the bracket
Tightening torque: 39 Nm (29 ft. lbs.)
2. Lower the car and raise the engine slightly with the lifting sling.
3. Raise the car and tighten the mounting pad to the body.
Tightening torque: 73 Nm (54 ft. lbs.)





4. Fit the clip on the wheel arch liner.
5. Fit the air shield and resonator.
6. Fit the bottom engine cover and lower the car.





7. Take up the weight of the motor and remove the lifting sling.
