Audio System







The audio system consists of the central main unit and several external units, and it interacts with other systems in the car.

Activation
The audio system is turned on/off by pressing the volume control knob. When switched on, the system starts with the latest settings active.

The system can be activated irrespective of the ignition switch position, even if the key has been removed (+B information goes via the bus).

If the ignition is turned OFF but the key remains in the lock, the audio system stops automatically 1 hour after a button was last pressed. This applies even if the audio system is turned on when the key is not in the ignition.







Control functions
The main unit contains control buttons for the system. Certain buttons are specific to the unit concerned but others are general controls:

General control buttons:
1. Audio system on/off
2. Source selection in audio system
3. Volume
4. Bass
5. Treble
6. Balance
7. Fader
8. Mute
