O2S Circuit. Low Voltage. Sensor 1.







Fault symptoms
- CHECK ENGINE.

On-Board Diagnostics

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous. Ceases when fault criteria fulfilled. Restarts next driving cycle.

Enable criteria:
- Engine running. Closed loop active more than 4 seconds. Preheating current for sensor 1 more than 300 mA. O2S2 voltage higher than 0.7 V for more than 30 seconds.

Fault criteria:
- O2S1 voltage is between 0.05 and 0.3 V for more than 30 seconds.

Dependents:
- P0131, P0132 and P0134.

System reaction to a fault:
- Closed loop is blocked.

OK report:
- Enable criteria fulfilled and 60 seconds has passed without a fault report.

- Type III.

Diagnostic help
Fault diagnosis concerns an electrical fault in connecting leads or in the sensor.

Checking the wiring
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short circuits. Observe the multimeter, diagnostic tool or test lamp during the check.
