The main function of the signal detector is to detect when the closest tyre pressure sensor (754) transmits and to transmit this information to Tyre Pressure Monitoring Module (753).

The signal detector comprises a plastic housing and contains a radio receiver, radio frequency filter and further electronics which modulate the continuous supply voltage from the control module.
