Intermittent Starter Motor Function

Fault symptoms
The starter motor is not working.

Check

Check that:
- the battery cables are tightened firmly to the terminals and that they have not oxidized;
- the battery connections to the car are tight and that there is no oxide or corrosion causing poor contact;
- the starter motor connections are tight and that there is no oxide or corrosion causing poor contact.

Diagnostic procedure
Remove the starter motor connections. Clean all contact surfaces and refit the connections.
