Rear-Seat Belts, 5D




To remove
1 Remove the parcel shelf, if fitted.







2 Lift out the cover over the storage compartment in the boot and lift out the storage box.
3 Remove the scuff plate, 2 covers, screws and clips.







4 Detach the rear headlining at the edge so that access to the D pillar trim is obtained
Remove the D pillar trim, secured with clips.
5 Remove the parcel shelf support, 1 cover, 3 screws and clips.







6 Tip the rear-seat's seat cushion and backrest forward.
Remove the side bolster by pulling it at the top so that the belt tongue releases. Then unhook the bottom.







7 Remove the 5 screws securing the top of the side trim.
8 Carefully pull the side trim away and unplug the connector for the CD player, if any.
Place the side trim aside.







9 Pull the C pillar trim away, starting at the top.
Lift out the trim, locating pin at bottom rear.
10 Unscrew the lower belt mounting.
11 Remove the strap guide from the C pillar trim and withdraw the belt.
12 Carefully withdraw the belt tongue and belt mounting through the strap guide.







13 Lift out the insulating pad.
14 Remove the strap guide.
15 Remove the belt reel and lift out the belt.

To fit







1 Put the belt in place and mount the inertia reel on the C pillar.

Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 lbf ft)

2 Fit the strap guide.

Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 lbf ft)

3 Insert the insulating pad.







4 Carefully insert the belt tongue and belt mounting through the strap guide.
5 Introduce the belt and strap guide into the C pillar trim. Press the strap guide into place on the C pillar trim.
6 Fit the C pillar trim by means of the locating pin and press the trim into place.
7 Fit the lower belt mounting, making sure that the locating pin is correctly positioned.

Tightening torque: 45 Nm (33 lbf ft)






8 Lift the side trim into place and plug in the connector for the CD player, it any.
9 Fit the screws securing the top of the side trim, starting with the rear screw to be sure that the trim is properly located.







10 Fit the side bolster by hooking the bottom in place and then pressing home the upper locking tongue.
Raise the rear seat's backrest and seat cushion to their original positions.







11 Fit the parcel shelf support, clips, 3 screws and 1 cover.
12 Fit the D pillar trim, secured with clips. Press the rear headlining into place.
Adjust the weatherstrip over the edges of the D pillar trim and headlining.







13 Fit the scuff plate, 4 clips, 2 screws and cover. Adjust the position of the weatherstrip over the edge of the scuff plate.
14 Lift the storage box into place and fit the lid on it.
15 Fit the parcel shelf, if previously removed.
