Wiring For A Trailer

Wiring For A Trailer

A harness has been drawn in preparation for a trailer hitch. There is a 10-pin connector (258) in the centre of the rear stem in the luggage compartment.

The following lighting units are supplied via the connector:
Pin 1 Direction indicators, left (from DICE)
Pin 2 Rear fog light (for the monitoring unit, from DICE)
Pin 3 Rear fog lights
Pin 4 Direction indicators, right (from DICE)
Pin 5 Parking lights, right
Pin 6 Brake lights (from brake light switch 29 via fuse 6B)
Pin 7 Parking lights, left
Pin 8 Reversing lights
Pin 9 +30 (from fuse A)
Pin 10 +54 (from fuse 6)

Tips for fault diagnosis
1. Check the electrical connections by the tow-bar connector (there is a risk of oxidation).
2. Make sure that there is voltage in each of the connections in connector 258.
3. Check the fuses and harnesses.
