Antenna/Dummy Antenna, Fixed (4D)
NOTE: Cars as of model year 2001 and VIN 13047361 that lack the handsfree provision have a dummy antenna mounted on the roof. For more information Telephone Connection
To remove
If you are unsure whether or not the car has the handsfree provision, check. Shine a light source through the microphone grille. On cars prepared for handsfree, a black microphone will be clearly visible behind the grill. On cars lacking such provision, there will be an empty space behind the grille.
1. Remove the LH and RH C-pillar trim.
2. Remove the brake light cover.
3. Remove the LH and RH courtesy handles.
4. Tip the seat cushion and backrest forward.
5. Remove the centre head restraint.
6. Remove the roof clips.
7. Carefully bend down the headlining.
8 Unplug the antenna connection, if applicable.
9. Undo the nut and remove the antenna.
To fit
1. Fit the antenna and plug in the connector (if any).
2. Tighten the nut.
Tightening torque 3.0 Nm (2.2 lbf ft)
3. Bend back the headlining and fit the clips.
4. Fit the centre head restraint.
5. Raise the seat cushion and backrest.
6. Fit the LH and RH courtesy handles.
7. Fit the brake lights cover.
8. Fit the LH and RH C-pillar trim.
