Axle Bearing: Service and Repair

Intermediate Shaft Bearing
To remove





1. Clamp the intermediate shaft in a vice.





2. Remove the small circlip.
3. Press the shaft out of the bearing with.87 91 287 Puller, 150 mm, and 87 92 210 Support differential bearing.
4. Remove the large circlip.
5. Press out the bearing using 87 91 311 Sleeve bearing driver shaft and 87 92 236 Fitting speed gear, F35, support as a support.

To fit





1. Press in the new bearing using 87 90 461 Sleeve bearing race and 87 91 311 Sleeve, bearings driver shaft as support.
2. Fit the large circlip.





3. Press on the intermediate shaft with 8?90487 Sleeve differential bearing.
4. Fit the small circlip.
