Fault symptoms
- Error message "PARK ASSIST FAILURE" shown on the SID when reverse gear is selected
- The SPA stops measurement and acoustic signals are given by the SID when the SPA shuts down.

Condition
The following conditions apply for the diagnostic trouble code in question:
- Ignition switch in ON position
- Reverse gear selected
