Wipers or washer, with rain sensor. Faulty







Fault symptoms
- Automatic wiper operation not working.
- Wipers do not work in manual position.
- Washing of windscreen does not work.

Diagnostic help
Check fuse 37 in the car interior and fuse 4 in the engine bay.

The following values can be read from the DICE using the diagnostic tool:
- Windscreen washer switch
- Windscreen wiper parking position.

Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in several directions to detect intermittent open circuits and short circuits. Note the reaction of the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool during the check.

Checking rain sensor attachment to windscreen
If automatic wiper operation does not work, before proceeding with diagnosis, check that the rain sensor is properly attached to the windscreen and that both locking clamps are correctly positioned in their mountings.
