Torque Converter Seal

To remove





1. Remove the transmission.
2. Lift out the torque converter.
3. Insert puller 87 92 384 n+ into the seal and extract the seal with sliding hammer 83 90 276

Fitting





1. Fit the new seal with sleeve 87 91 311
2. Position the torque converter.
3. Check that the torque converter is correctly positioned by placing a steel rule on the torque converter housing's mating surface and measuring the distance between the mating surface and the drive plate's contact surface on the torque converter.
The distance should be: min. 9 mm.
4. Fit the transmission.
