Evaporator Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair


Evaporator Temperature Sensor

To remove





1 Remove the glove box.
Remove the trim from the side of the center console.





2 Cut the cable tie holding the wire harness to the service cover. Also cut the cable tie holding the cooler hose to the glove box.
Remove the service cover.
3 Remove the fresh-air filter.





4 Put a hand into the filter holder and carefully pull out the temperature sensor from the evaporated.
5 Separate the connector and detach contact from the plate.
Lift up the plate and unplug the contact.

To fit





1 Locate the temperature sensor in the old hole in the evaporator.
Place the lead's grommet in the groove by the upper fin.





2 Fit the fresh-air filter.
3 Fit the temperature sensor connector from the back of the plate. Plug in the contact from the car's wiring harness.
4 Fit the service cover.
Fasten the wiring harness and cooler hose with cable ties. To ensure tightness, check that the lead's rubber grommet is located correctly.





5 Replace the side trim on the center console.
Fit the glove box.
