Fuel Shut-Off




Fuel Shut-off







Fuel shut-off will take place if any of the following criteria are fulfilled:
- +15 supply missing
- fully depressed accelerator pedal during starter motor cranking
- Engine speed exceeds 6200 rpm
- air mass/combustion exceeds 1000 mg/c
- engine torque 30 Nm above maximum permissible at present engine speed
- immobilizer code incorrect
- throttle rotated manually while engine running
- major fault in throttle control
- a pedal sensor fault if the engine speed exceeds 2200 rpm
- ignition discharge module not powered
- engine speed above 1525 rpm, accelerator pedal fully released and coolant temperature exceeds 20 °C. This applies in 3rd, 4th and 5th gears on cars with manual gearbox and in 2nd, 3rd and 4th gears on cars with automatic transmission. Injection starts again at 1120 rpm.

Diagnostics
If TWICE does not send "Immobilizer OFF" after the ignition has been switched on or if the Trionic T7, TWICE or MIU control modules are replaced and the immobilizer code is not programmed in TWICE, diagnostic trouble code P1460 will be generated and the engine cannot be started.
