Checking The Lead


Unplug the connector:







Main instrument unit 20-pin connector 540

















Connect a test lamp to B+ and pin 3 of the MIU (K20).

















Connect a jumper lead between terminal D+ and a good ground.







Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

- Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.







The test lamp should light.
