EVAP Tank Pressure Sensor. Performance Problem.







Fault symptoms
CHECK ENGINE comes on after two driving cycles.

Conditions
The following conditions apply for this DTC:
- Ignition switch in ON position.
- Vehicle speed = 0 km/h.
- Pressure variation greater than ±0.5 kpa.
- Deviates more than 25 times during 5 s.

Diagnostic help
Fault diagnosis concerns electrical faults in connected leads or in the sensor.

Diagnostic tool functions related to this fault are:
- EVAP tank pressure sensor value, unit kpa.

When the fuel level is below the sensor and the filler cap has been removed, the value should be approx. 0 kPa.

Check the wiring
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at various points and in different directions to detect any intermittent breaks or short circuits in the wiring. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
