Continuity Check






















Take a resistance reading between

^ 26 - Breakout box
^ 8 - Central locking motor, driver

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO ^ Rectifying the Lead

YES ^ Continue with Continuity Check






















Take a resistance reading between

^ 22 - Breakout box
^ 10 - Central locking motor, driver

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO ^ Rectifying the Lead

YES ^ Continue with Continuity Check

^ 42 - Breakout box
^ 9 - Central locking motor, driver

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO ^ Rectifying the Lead

YES ^ Continue with Continuity Check

^ 33 - Breakout box
^ 3 - Central locking motor, driver

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

NO ^ Rectifying the Lead

YES ^ Continue with Continuity Check

^ 56 - Breakout box
^ 7 - Central locking motor, driver

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO ^ Rectifying the Lead

YES ^ Continue with Continuity Check







Unplug the connector:
^ Breakout box. (BOB)







Plug in the connector.
^ Control module TWICE (632)

















^ Connect test lamp 86 11 857 to pin 8 of the driver door's central locking motor and B+.







^ The test lamp should light.

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO ^ Changing Components - II

YES ^ Continue with Continuity Check

















^ Connect test lamp 86 11 857 to pin 10 of the driver door's central locking motor and B+.







^ The test lamp should light.

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO ^ Changing Components - II

YES ^ Continue with Continuity Check

















^ Connect test lamp 86 11 857 to pin 9 of the driver door's central locking motor and B+.







^ The test lamp should light.

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO ^ Changing Components - II

YES ^ Check the Control Module
