Internal Control Module. Malfunction.





Fault symptoms
- CHECK ENGINE.
- Possible loss of power before trouble code generated.

On-Board Diagnostics

Type of diagnosis:
- Continuous. But interrupted when fault criteria fulfilled and will not restart until next driving cycle.

Enable criteria:
- Engine running.

Fault criteria:
- Voltage from atmosphere absolute pressure sensor lower than 0.200 V for more than 1 s.

Dependents:
- None.

System reaction to a fault:
- Starting charge air pressure value used as substitute value. Purge blocked. All diagnoses that have the general condition that the atmospheric pressure must exceed 72 kPa and the engine coolant and intake air temperature must exceed -7 °C, are blocked.

OK report:
- Fault criteria for P1631, P1632 or P1633 not fulfilled.
- Type III.

Diagnostic help
Fault diagnosis concerns internal control module fault as the sensor is integrated in the control module.

Functions in the diagnostic tool related to the fault:
- Pressure sensor value, unit kPa.

The value should correspond with that of the other two pressure sensors when the engine is stationary. Accepted deviation: 10 kF
