Lock-Up Function Defective





Fault Symptoms
CHECK GEARBOX warning lamp on.

Lock-up function disconnected.

Conditions
The difference between engine speed and the transmission's input shaft speed is greater than 100 rpm for 10 seconds.

Diagnosis will not be performed if:

- The engine is idling or running at more than 4000 rpm.

- Diagnostic trouble code P1921 or P0717 has been generated.

- Less than 5 seconds has elapsed since shifting occurred.

Diagnostic Help
Check the cable to the Lock-up solenoid. Under certain driving conditions, DTC P0741 can be generated if there is an open circuit in the cable.
