Checking the Transmission

Check the condition of the transmission by carrying out the following series of tests:

1. Refer to Checking The Transmission Fluid Level.

2. Refer to Checking The Stalling Speed.





3. Refer to Checking The Hydraulic Pressure.

4. Checking manual shift, refer to Gearshift Systems found under Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Testing and Inspection.

When diagnosing fault symptoms, always perform a road test as described in "Road Test Schedule". The indicated problem determines the continued fault diagnosis in the table "Mechanical And Hydraulic Faults".
