Checking the Switch's Power Supply







Unplug the connector:
^ Switch, luggage compartment opening (388)












^ Connect a test lamp to pin 4 of the female connector and a grounding point.












^ Turn the ignition switch to OFF and then back to ON.







^ The test lamp should flash.

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

YES ^ Checking the Switch's Grounding
