Checking The Sensor's Power Supply
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
Unplug the connector:
- Pressure sensor, EVAP (585)
Take a voltage reading.
- 1 - Pressure sensor, EVAP
- B -
The reading should be 4.9 V - 5.1 V
Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
Is the function correct?
NO - End of process.
YES - Continue with Checking the sensor's power supply.
Take a voltage reading.

- 2 - Pressure sensor, EVAP
The reading should be 4.9 V - 5.1 V
Checking the wiring harness.

Is the function correct?
NO - End of process.
YES - Continue with Checking the sensor's power supply.

Test value: Fuel Tank Pressure (Trionic)
The reading should be: 2.500 kPa
