Fault symptoms
- CHECK ENGINE.
- Slow idling speed.

On-Board Diagnostics
Type of diagnosis:
Continuous. But interrupted when fault criteria fulfilled and does not restart until next driving cycle.

Enable conditions:
- General conditions for this trouble code: When starting the engine, the atmospheric pressure must exceed 78 kPa and the engine coolant and intake air temperatures must exceed -7°C.
- Engine running. Car stationary. Accelerator pedal fully released. Engine load lower than 150 mg/c. Idle speed control requesting greatest possible air mass per combustion.

Fault criteria:
- Engine speed is more than 100 rpm lower than the requested idling speed for 5 S.

Dependents:
- P0501, P0502, P1230, P1530, P1531 and P1532.

System reaction to a fault:
- None.

OK report:
- Diagnosis performed once and fault criteria not fulfilled.
