Checking The Control Module's Signal Input For Cylinders 1+2/cylinder Bank 1
Unplug the connector:
- Ignition discharge module, Bank 1 (346R)
- Take out pin 4.
Plug in the connector.
- Ignition discharge module Bank 1
- Start the engine and run it at idling speed.
Reading: Combustion Detection Cyl 1+2/Bank1
The reading should be 100 %
Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
Is the function correct?
NO - Rectifying the Lead - I
YES - Continue with Checking The Control Module's Signal Input For Cylinders 1+2/cylinder Bank 1
- Connect a jumper lead between pin 4 (which is loose) and a good grounding point.
Reading: Combustion Detection Cyl 1+2/ Bank 1
The reading should be 0 %
Checking the wiring harness
