Outside temperature sensor. Short-circuit to ground. Open circuit/shorting to B+.





Fault symptoms
Outside temperature function on SID faulty.

Condition
Open circuit: resistance higher than 350 kohm
Short-circuit to ground: resistance lower than 100 ohms

Diagnostic help
The outside temperature sensor can be read using Tech 2. Both the unfiltered and the filtered values can be read.

The outside temperature sensor can be adjusted ±5 °C.

Check the wiring harness
Jiggle the wiring harness at several points and in different directions to detect intermittent breaks and short-circuits in the leads. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostics instrument during the test.
