Rear Seat Heating Relay. Open Circuit / Short to Ground





Fault symptoms
Open-circuit/short-circuit to B+ gives the following symptoms:
- no seat heating
- indicator lamp does not light.

Open-circuit/short-circuit to ground gives the following symptoms:
- seat heater permanently on, irrespective of ignition key position
- indicator lamp on permanently
- battery discharges.

Conditions
No diagnostic trouble code is generated for voltages below 11V or during diagnostic communication.

Control module outputs can be activated with the diagnostic tool.
