Cover On Door Mirror Comes Off

79 75 535 Screw

Procedure

1. Remove the mirror glass.
2. Check that the glass has not been damaged when removed.
3. Open the three clips just enough to fit the screws (part no. 79 75 535). The screws help to hold the cover in place more securely.
4. Check to see whether dents appear on the mirror cover. If so, slacken the screws 1-2 turns.
5. Check that the rubber boot for the mirror motor is correctly positioned.
6. Fit the glass with the motor in its center position. There must be no slack. Check that the glass is correctly positioned.
7. Check that the mirror works correctly reaches all end positions.
