Trim, Tailgate, 5D

To remove







1 Open the tailgate.
2 Remove the 3 window covers (fastened with clips).
3 Remove the clips at sides and bottom.
4 Prise out the opening handle frame using a screwdriver inserted in the three recesses. When the frame's clips have released pull the frame downwards and bend it out.
5 Undo the closing handle retaining screws. The handle will remain in place in the trim.


NOTE: There is a locating pin beside the handle. When removing the trim, take care to avoid breaking the pin.


6 Remove the lamps and allow them to hang from their wiring.
7 Pull the top of the trim so that the clips come away.







8 Remove the pin from its hole by moving the trim slightly downwards. Lower the trim, making sure that the lamps pass out through their respective openings.

To fit







1 Insert the locating pin in its hole and move the trim upwards, making sure that the lamps pass through their respective openings.
2 Press the upper part of the trim into place.
3 Press the lamps into the trim.
4 Fit the screws securing the closing handle.
5 Fit the opening handle frame by hooking the lower clips into place and then pressing the frame home so that the remaining clips engage.
6 Fit the clips at sides and bottom.
7 Fit the window covers.
8 Close the tailgate.
