Amplifier: Service and Repair

To remove







1 Remove the sill cover on the passenger side.
2 Remove the lower cover panel.
3 Fold the carpet to one side.
4 Remove the two lower bolts which hold the amplifier in place, and slacken the top bolt.







5 Lift the amplifier out and unplug the connector.

To fit
Refit the parts removed in reverse order.

NOTE: Physically, the Prestige amplifiers for 4D and 5D oars are the same in appearance and connectors, so that it is possible to connect an amplifier intended for a 5D car into a 4D car. The sound quality from the sub-woofer will not be satisfactory, however, as it will be driven too hard. In the other case, if an amplifier for a 4D car is fitted into a 5D, the sub-woofer reproduction will sound washy.
