Checking the Rheostat Value












- Set the lights switch to position 2.
- Set the rheostat to Max.







- Note that under strong lighting conditions the SID's light sensor must be shaded







Reading Rheostat, Filtered
The reading should be 100 %

Checking the wiring harness.
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the function correct?

NO - Checking Rheostat Grounding

YES - Internal Control Module Fault
