Checking the Wheel Speed Signal







- Drive forward slowly.







- CRUISE lamp should flash at rate corresponding with speed

Is the function correct?

NO - Continue with Checking the wheel speed signal.

YES - Final Check












- Switch off the engine.







- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Connect BOB (Break Out Box) between CRUISE control module and CRUISE control module female connector.






















- Connect test lamp 86 11 857 to pin 10 of BOB and a good grounding point.












- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Jack up the front of the car.
- Rotate front left wheel 0.5 rps.







- The test lamp should blink at 15 Hz.

Checking the Wiring Harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

YES - Final Check
