Clutch Switch: Description and Operation
Pedal Switches, Brake And Clutch:
When the brake pedal or clutch pedal is depressed, the pedal switches break the supply of current to control module pin 4 (D) and the cruise control system is disengaged. On cars with automatic transmission the circuit is supplied with current from the gear selector position sensor in positions D, 3,2 and 1. The pedal switches are factory-fitted on all cars with a manual gearbox, including those without cruise control.
