Check The Coaxial Cable Between The Mobile Telephone And The Roof-mounted Quarter-wave Antenna







Unplug the connector:
- Mobile telephone antenna (627)

Unplug the connector:
- Coaxial cable, mobile telephone antenna (353)







Measure the resistance. The value should be Infinite.
- 1 - Mobile telephone antenna
- 2 - Mobile telephone antenna

Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.

Is the reading correct?

NO - Changing Components

YES - Continue With Check The Coaxial Cable Between The Mobile Telephone And The Roof-mounted Quarter-wave Antenna

- Connect a jumper lead between the centre conductor of the coaxial cable and the cable screen.







Take a resistance reading between
- 1 - Mobile telephone antenna
- 2 - Mobile telephone antenna

The reading should be 0 Ohm - 1 Ohm

Is the function correct?

NO - Changing Components

YES - Check the Antenna Connection to the Roof
