Diagnostic Procedures

1. Checking The Fault Symptoms

Carry out diagnosis as described in the Road Test schedule and fill out the Diagnosis and test report at the same time, refer to Procedures, Road Test Schedule.

Make a note of any symptoms.

Are any fault symptoms present?

NO
Go to step 3

YES
Go to step 2

2. Checking The Fault Symptoms

Continue fault diagnosis based on symptoms of Automatic Transmission/Transaxle, Mechanical And Hydraulic Faults.

Diagnosis procedure for this fault code is complete.

3. Checking The Fault Symptoms

Check that the sensors for input shaft speed and output shaft speed are correctly mounted on the gearbox

Go to step 4

4. Final Check





Clear the diagnostic trouble codes in all systems.

Carry out a drive cycle
Drive the car at varying engine loads and engine rpm for five minutes.

Evaluate the drive cycle





Check that the diagnostic trouble code has not recurred

Is the function correct?

NO
Go to step 5

YES
Go to step 6

5. Final Check

Diagnosis procedure for this fault code is complete.
Refer to Procedures, Before Changing A Control Module..

6. Final Check

The steps taken to rectify the fault were correct.
Diagnosis procedure is complete.
