Checking Air Leakage After Flap - II

Checking Air Leakage After Flap

Check whether:
- the purge valve is airtight
- faulty brake servo
- crankcase ventilation is airtight.

- Check that no air leakage occurs in the vacuum hoses

Pinch off one hose at a time and observe the diagnostic tool's display to determine whether a leak occurs. It is OK if crankcase ventilation gives an increment of about 5% via the thin hose.

The other hoses must not give any noticeable increment. Note that the evap canister purge valve's electrical connection must be disconnected for this check.
