Checking the Relay Power Supply

















- Remove the Jumper leads.

Plug in the connector.
- Switch, rear window wiper (61a)
- Remove component: Relay, washer fluid pump












- Connect a test lamp to pin 3 of the relay holder (pin 86 on the relay) and a good grounding point.







Activate the rear window washer with the control.







The test lamp should light.

Checking the wiring harness
Jiggle the leads and in-line connectors at several places and in different directions to reveal intermittent breaks and short circuits in the wiring harness. Observe the multimeter, test lamp or diagnostic tool while doing this.
